Mr Indranil Lahiri took over the helm of Siemens Malaysia as its President & CEO since February 2018. He has over 22 years of industry
experience including 18 years alone with Siemens India and Bangladesh. He was the Country CEO & Managing Director for Siemens Bangladesh in
2013 for four years, during which he grew the business volume by about four times. He then became the Head of Digital Factory – Factory
Automation (DF FA) in Siemens India since April 2017.
Mr Indranil graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering from the Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University of India. During
his tenure in Bangladesh, Siemens played a major role in building up the country’s infrastructure, growing the share of base load Power
Generation Services by an increased 30%, and securing nearly 70% of additional grid electrification to electrify infrastructure and buildings.
When the country was moving into industrialization, Siemens played a role in providing the right solutions for industries.
When he assumed the post in Siemens India, he grew the business’s revenue and order intake by double-digits.
During this time, he also initiated thought leadership efforts on digitalization for discrete manufacturing.
He brings with him a wealth of experience in various verticals of the business, including Siemens digitalization initiatives.
This will be crucial in the company’s ongoing pursuit to keep up the good pace for this fiscal year, from empowering and leveraging on local
knowledge and resources, to creating new digitalization opportunities.
Mr Indranil counts his key experiences and strengths in areas of service, applications, sales, business development, project management,
country strategy and country CEO. He is passionate about infusing strategic thinking into the business and unleashing the power of employees.
He aims to further strengthen Siemens Malaysia’s core areas of electrification, automation and digitalization by addressing market needs and
challenges with forward-thinking ideas and opportunities for the company to penetrate into through their technologies and solutions.
